The strips are ideal for scars that look like a straight line, such as those that result from surgeries (tummy tuck, open heart surgery, thyroidectomy, mastectomy, knee replacement surgery, shoulder surgery, carpal tunnel surgery, etc.). Plus, you can cut the longer strips to the size of your scar, so a single, longer strip may provide several applications. NEWGEL+ SHAPES The wide variety of NewGel+ shapes include custom designs for breast and facial scars. Since breast surgeries often result in scars that are circular, vertical, and/or curved, the typical rectangular pharmacy brands of silicone gel sheets do not easily cover the curves and contours of such scars. Therefore, we’ve designed our areola circles, lollypops, and anchors to meet the needs of any cosmetic breast surgery, such as augmentation, lift (mastopexy), or reduction mammoplasty.
