Frontier Co-op Nutritional Yeast Mini Flakes are a healthful non-dairy cheese substitute and seasoning grown on a mixture of cane and beet molasses. To create these flavorful flakes, the yeast is harvested, washed, pasteurized and dried with heat to deactivate it. When the yeast is inactive, it doesn’t act as a leavening agent and instead adds creamy texture as a cheese substitute or flavorful nutty taste to recipes and snacks.

Best uses:

Sprinkle onto popcorn and pasta, or add to seasoning blends, sauces or soups. Use in pasta dishes and baked entrees such as dairy-free macaroni and cheese.
